View point position movement when adjusting flaps.

Post by witor » Mon Dec 27, 2021 12:42 am

I have no idea why I have not really noticed this before, but today while flying JS3 I noticed that when flaps position is adjusted the position of the viewpoint (virtual head) jumps up and down relative to the cockpit. This is really visible in vr and it is more pronounced between some flaps settings than the other. I have tested few flapped gliders today and it it looks like this is happening in all I have tried.

Is this a feature or a bug?

It was quite pronounced in JS3 while flying in VR and I think I would prefer to fly without my virtual head jumping up and down in my virtual cockpit.

I think this is related to the changing g-forces when you change the flapsetting at higher speeds because the plane will begin to climb or descent dependent if you set a more positiv or more negativ setting.
