Aresti sketch in instrument panel

Post by Micha L. » Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:52 pm

Hi folks,

I use the Pilatus B4 in Condor with my Oculus Quest for aerobatic training.
In the Swift panel is a place for showing the areti.dds file from the plane-folder as a sketch.

Is there any option to place the aresti program on the B4 panel?
For example under the gauges in front of the stick (like I do it in real).

I try to find it in the .gau file, but without any success.

Another way could be to show it on the PDA.
The same here, i couldn't find out how to realise.

For now, I open a sketch with pictue manager in a second task and pin this somewhere on the screen next to the cockpit. Works only in oculus link.

Direct on the panel would be a nice option.
Does anybody know how to?
Greetings

After 20 days over 170 views but without any reply.

Doesn't anybody know how to fix it or isn't there no option to do it?
Greetings

The aresti in the swift is part of the 3D model. There is no such option in the pilatus. You cannot modify the 3D model yourself.

There are posts here on the forum about adding XCsoar to VR via the occulus tool. I dont know how to do that myself but maybe that is an option for you.

Thanks wickid for your relpy.

I have tried it with XCsoar via Oculus app in a pinned task, but i don' t know how to show a PDF or JPG on the XCSoar app.

Open a JPG with a 2D graphic app and pinned it via oculus app is possible, but not as nice as a include view without any frames and buttons on a PDA or the cockpit.

I agree with this request,
For me I would be interested to have the possibility to show a pdf or jpg file as a reminder note for the task I am flying. Larger than the pda and possibly "scotched" on the pannel or on my leg.

I'd love to have this option!

Has anyone had any success displaying an image in the cockpit?

Talking about it here won't help. Perhaps posting a request for aerobatic gliders to have this option in future would be acted on in Condor 3 feature requests at viewtopic.php?f=29&t=20863&start=495 (or all gliders, taking over the PDA screen).

You can implement a resti sketch in the cockpit.dds
You may need to try a few times to put it into the right place in the .dds image.
Make a backup of the original version before.
