I completely understand the excitement for the ASK-13—it’s such a charming and iconic glider that holds a special place in many hearts. But if we think about what would add more variety and value to Condor right now, the AS33 really stands out as the next logical step. While we already have excellent modern gliders like the JS3 and Ventus 3 covering both 15m and 18m classes, the AS33 offers something unique: a combination of cutting-edge design and performance that brings fresh energy to both classes. It's not just another option—it’s a new standard for versatility and competitiveness.

The ASG29 is fantastic, but it’s only available in the 18m configuration, which leaves a noticeable gap. The AS33 bridges that gap perfectly, offering both 15m and 18m configurations in a single platform. This makes it ideal for both those looking to hone their 15m skills and those flying in the 18m class. It’s the kind of glider that would appeal to a broad range of pilots, from those chasing records to those exploring their potential in high-performance racing.

The ASK-13, while lovely, feels like something we can look forward to a bit later. We already have great vintage and training gliders like the K8 and Ka-6CR that provide a similar vibe. Right now, the AS33 would really complement the fleet by adding a next-generation option that pilots across the board can get excited about.

Let’s keep moving the platform forward and bring the AS33 into the skies—it’s what so many of us are dreaming of! The ASK-13 will surely come in due time, and we’ll all enjoy it when it does. For now, though, the AS33 feels like the right choice to take Condor to the next level
so many "performance" gliders are in Condor... and so few "iconic"... so keep moving for all "aficionados" of ASK 13, still a school glider in many clubs. I wonder many who did not purchase Condor for competition will appreciate to continue learn to fly at home ;)

Absolutely, I get where you’re coming from, and I totally respect that perspective. The ASK-13 is a legend for a reason—it’s introduced countless pilots to the joys of soaring, and its presence in Condor will definitely make many people happy. There’s something truly special about recreating those early training flights and moments of discovery, especially for those who might be learning or reminiscing.

That said, I still stand by my enthusiasm for the AS33 as an exciting next step for the platform. It’s not just about performance for the sake of performance—it’s about expanding the possibilities and giving pilots a taste of the cutting edge in both the 15m and 18m classes. But like you said, if it’s already decided that the ASK-13 is next, I’m happy to wait for the AS33. It’ll be worth it when the time comes.

In the meantime, I’m sure the ASK-13 will bring a lot of joy to Condor, especially for those looking to refine their skills or simply relive the magic of their early flying days. After all, there’s room for everyone in the skies—whether it’s the nostalgic charm of the ASK-13 or the cutting-edge thrill of the AS33. Both will make Condor even better in their own way. :)
