Hi All, sorry about the silence I e been busy with my day job. Yes will be posting some updates items on the B4. I think by end of the weekend model will be set then just have to work the LOD requirements. I do promise to make adjustments as requested by the forum though before sending to OXO.

Re: Pilatus B4
Hi All, first off as I mentioned I'm sorry about the silence. The project isn't forgotten about but due to events in the world I have been very tied up. Attached are a couple of updated cockpit pics. Reworked the model of the interior to better match the reference images. Proper flight stick with boot, seat adjustment mechanism and handle, proper gear and spoiler handles along with a bunch of cleanup on the interior model in general and the fuse and canopy. Due to my extraordinary workload I'm projecting this project will complete in the next 4 weeks (around the beginning of July). So I hope the wait is worth the journey for those following, I can promise to give the best possible model I can produce.
OXO, I will have proper PBR textures for the model when it's done, and all axis's should be proper so when you get it the model should be minimal work aside from your magic of rigging:)
I hope everyone is well and safe in these tough times.

Can we see a side view of the panel area? The panel should be substantially vertical.
Also, maybe it an optical illusion, but the horizontal stab looks to have an asymmetrical profile, which would be incorrect.

Hello Jason
Great job . I have one small addition. The rudder should be in a straight line at the top, slightly sloping downwards. On your picture it seems to be round.

Re: Pilatus B4
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the inspiration and notes. As always, very appreciated and will get the model there. Chris you were correct that I had about a 15 degree sweep on the dash, after a little cursing and some modeling magic it's been corrected and I included a couple of pics to show that now it is perpendicular to the canopy open line.
Patrick you are right as well I did intentionally curve the rudder from a couple of the images I saw, that's been corrected but now see that the overall size of the rudder needs adjustment (so I will remodel that later). The Horizontal stab was asymmetric and I've adjusted it with the help of your image. Closing in, again sorry about so much delay but all these little details will help close the gap much quicker, I do appreciate it.
I've started some of the cockpit PBR maps, if you prefer a cleaner newer dash or less scratches do let me know.
Thanks,
Jason

Ok, so a little problem like the rudder bugged me enough to knock it out. It's adjusted now properly.

Re: Pilatus B4
Which version of the piltaus b4 is it pc11A or pc11AF ?
Re: Pilatus B4
That quibbles ...................
Here is what I find on Wikipedia
B4-PC11
permitted to fly a number of aerobatic manoeuvres, it was not permitted to do inverted loops or flick/snap/quick maneuvers. The B4-PC11 was available with either fixed or retractable landing gear.
B4-PC11A
developed to perform inverted loops and was also able to handle higher g-forces.
B4-PC11AF
released in 1975, with full aerobatic capabilities.

Re: Pilatus B4
hey super Jason. It's great that you take our tips so seriously and implement the changes immediately, thank you very much for that. It will be a very nicely done glider.
Wikipedia: "The changes in construction from B4-PC11 through A and AF variants were to add extra ribs through the fuselage section (increasing torsional rigidity, only AF variant), and to modify the control column stops and shorten the rudder, giving greater control surface deflection."
So there are actually no optical differences to be seen between A & AF. At most the stringer under the fin on the outside of the fuselage indicates that an A version has been changed to an AF afterwards.
I go for the AF with full aerobatic capabilities.
