Is there a possibility that a LAK 17a could be developed?

Thank You. Another lovely glider to fly.
btw
Forward Trim range seems excessive.
Full forward trim with CG at -10 will exceed Vne (on AutoPilot with water),
while it seems a little nose heavy in thermals at most CG settings.
It still flys well though, nice work!

Wiek will be along soon to disagree 😂

I honestly don't know. The real LS3a i have the trim about 2/3th aft. I'm about 20 kg below maximum weight so about in the middle of the CoG range. It pretty much trims itself between thermalling around 85/90 with flaps 10 or 5, and then glides to about 150 kph in -7 without really having to trim. With 90 liters of water it runs even easier. I think if I put full nose down trim in it would go a fair bit towards Vne. It is a spring trim system so trim full forward is stick on the forward stop on the ground.

Had some spare altitude today so I decided to try. 220 kph was with the trim in the middle of the range. So it is easily possible to trim the LS3a beyond Vne. This was without water ballast.

Remember it's a flapped glider so it easily goes over Vne also in real life.

I tried in real life. I stopped at 220 due to turbulence. I had about half the forward trimmer range left at that point. And that was with a CoG far from the forward limit. Just confirming that the trimmer range in Condor is correct

Is anything close to the ASH31-Mi available for Condor?

There is a model of the Antares 20E and the longer span versions: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=21230. But they haven't been released yet. AFAIK nobody is working on a ASH31Mi model. I do have a detailed model of the IAE 50R engine used in most Schleicher selflaunchers, so if somebody wants to make the rest of the plane, that is ready to be dropped in.

In terms of what is available in Condor at the moment: Selflaunching single seaters are the DG808C-18 and the EB29R. Closest I would say is the EB29R, but that is much higher performances compared to the ASH31Mi.

If one sets aside the self-launching capability, the closest to the ASH31 in Condor is the JS1-18 /21 (same wingspans, similar W/L and GR)
