These requirements must be "new", because the ASW 12 didn't had air brakes, and it's a very young plane, will say it's as young as me :-D
For approach and landing control the ASW 12 possessed a braking parachute rather than traditional spoilers or airbrakes

When we don't have the real life data we can derive the theoretical drag from the physical size of the brake panels. I have a copy of the flight manual somewhere, In it, it states "Airbrakes are speed limiting to 250kph (135kts) in a 45* dive. I tested this unballasted.
I'll have a look for it and send a photo of the page when I get time, if you wish wickid, not that it's absolute proof, but it was a bit scary putting it to the test.
I use to assist with the annual inspection, and test fly the aircraft afterwards, hence putting it through it's paces, because the inspector was too scared to fly what he signed off on.

I guess that made me useful as a crash test dummy :P

I had other excitement in the CS too. I once gained over 3000ft altitude on a winch launch (Wire) and thought I felt heavy control friction, but found nothing on inspection.

Another time, a small thunderstorm cell rapidly developed nearby and closed in before we knew it. With no tie down gear at the opposite end of our 2200m runway, I volunteered to fly it home as a cable was available, Quickly strapped in and launched, only to hit a downburst at 700ft alt. With airspeed dropping rapidly, I released and dived at the ground, recovered airspeed as the downburst fanned out and I got in front of it, I drove it right up to the hangar doors, jumped out, pushed it in and slammed the doors shut! I decided never to try that again.

That's all a bit too exciting!

The only thing I had happen, in a CS77, was part of the gear lifting fork thing broke on take off (Stupid die cast metal). I had no idea. It was a bit of a shock when it came to a stand still in a few meters on landing!! My dad came over and all I said was "look the gear lever is down!!!".
