I see that some 3D objects use .dds files and others are using .bmps for their texture file. Is there any performance difference or feature advantage to using one over the other?
Also, is there any (debug) like command that allows us to walk around an airport area to get a feel for the layout of objects?
Preferred file format for texture?
Re: Preferred file format for texture?
dds loads faster, and less space on disk.
