I am ready to accept objects for the Object database, which will be hosted on the website under Downloads.

I need a 128x128 jpg of the object to act as a thumbnail, plus .obj .mtl and the dds texture file

Send me a link to your dropbox or google drive.

Hi,
I'm a Condor newbie, (XP11 user), and Condor2 and VR potential has been a driving force for me to buy in, so this may have been asked before (possibly many times), is it permissable to utilise .obj and the dds texture files from other sims for your Obj DB.
Presumably permissions would be needed in some cases, however XP has "many" imports from FSX and these would seem to be a potential source.
The flight simulator world devotees are generally very generous to their "other sim" cousins.
Again sorry if this is a too obvious a Question.
Kind Regards PG5

We are strong on copyright issues, and would expect you to have permission to supply objects and textures.

Two collators of library objects from the XP forum have indicated that they have no objections to their library objects being used for Condor freeware Sceneries.
1 Einstein
2 Scottish Wings
They both have libraries at;
https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/f ... r-scenery/

Scottish Wings has a Permission Note which Starts

The Handy Objects Library 1.0 was originally created by Scottish Wings (formerly the artist know as FlybyGuy) on the 10th September 2014.

+++++ THE LATEST UPDATE IS 6.80 +++++

++ This library and all the objects included are for personal use only and have been provided free of charge by my good self to enhance your overall enjoyment within the X-Plane community. Please do not use any of the objects or texture files in any commercial context or outside the realms of X-Plane.++

Please have a look at the forum and pm me to let me know your thoughts.

Is it possible to add textures without color scheme for aircraft?
It will be nice to have possibility to place object like AN2 in other liveries.

Its easy to do. Using a paint program, edit a copy of the skin.

If you want to change the name of the skin file, its easy to do that too using the object editor in CLT

I know Chris that is easy but with blank texture will be easiest and less time consuming ;-)
