I've been trying to use the Windsock pole, but it does not show a Windsack even though it is defined in the object properties.
What is the point of having the Windsock pole in the Landscape assets, which does not work as a standalone object in a landscape?

Due to the landscape sharing nature of Condor, would it be possible to create a functional (DDS & CD3 files) object resource library for all objects used in Condor? This would encourage landscape creators to add more 3D objects in the landscape. My personal experience with Wings 3D was very unsuccessful. I'll leave the object creation to our gifted experts. Thanks to all the folk who make these projects possible. Cheers Jeff

Windsock only works in the AirportO file. It is explained in the landscape guide and the airport creation guide found on the download page:

Yes, I realise that now. Then it's not really an asset to people who aren't creating airports and just want to place an additional Windsock in their landscape. There should have been a warning declaring that with the object. How many of those other objects don't work outside the airport?

Wings 3D gave me numerical errors with no explanation of what the numbers meant, and I was only trying to create a basic landing strip. After spending a few weeks struggling with it, I gave up. I have managed to scrounge some hangers, cars, trees and other items from the other landscapes I have, and will use them to add flavour. Cheers Jeff

Numerical error is due to you not ticking the triangulate box when exporting to .obj. It is all in the guide

Hi guys!

I'm placing objects thru Landscape Editor. Can I put a windsock separately without making a whole airfield model? I mean Airport O and G files.
Maybe, someone can give me a link for a manual how to do it or a model with working windsock?

I'm trying to put a windsock thru Airport Maker. Unfortunately, I don't have a manual and it doesn't work.

Speaking of windsocks, it might be useful to integrate this one and benefit from the wisdom of an old pilot 😂
