That button is currently not working.
Use the ObjectEditor.exe outside the LE.

Ok .i used Object viewer and had to download from the net an app to read .c3d files. Looking at the Objects in Condor2/landscapes/ Slovenia/world/objects there are numerous objects with numerical code or in Slovakian language. I opened up (in Object viewer) a .cx file(3 balloons) from V1 and saved it as a .c3d file and put it in the (v2) World file. Using Landscape Editor i then added the balloons to the landscape. I then ran Condor2 but the balloons came out as Grey (no colour) . Any idea why ?

You most likely either don't have the textures copied to the the other landscape or your texture paths in the c3d are wrong. Also, if you don't want to have your objects dark, you also need to set the material tu full white.

I am not technically proficient so would someone please explain, In the Landscape Editor (page 54) it says "Put all the CX objects from V1 scenery to the same folder in your V2 scenery. Copy the landscape.obj file with object placement definition to the new V2 landscape and rename it accordingly. When you start a flight on the landscape, Condor will convert them to C3D format. You still need to check every converted object manually using the Object Editor. Set material color of all textured objects to 1.0, 1.0, 1.0 (white) and correct the texture paths. Otherwise the textures won't show up in Condor " So my Question after copying V1 cx objects into Slovenia / Landscapes/World/Objects ... in plain language .. what do I do next. Also why is the Object viewer button not working in Landscape Editor ?

Are you making a new scenery ? If yes then you must not copy your objects in Condor2/World

Example :
Your object is a cube.
The object name is 'cube.c3d'. The texture file is 'cube.bmp'
Copy 'cube.c3d' into Condor2/Landscapes/YourSceneryName/World/Objects
Copy 'cube.bmp' into Condor2/Landscapes/YourSceneryName/World/Textures
Make sure there is no existing file with the same name

THEN open 'cube.c3d' with ObjectEditor.
You see the path of your texture.
Edit and put Landscapes/YourSceneryName/World/Textures/cube.bmp
Save
Close and re-open ObjectEditor
Open again your 'cube.c3d' to check if all is ok
Thats's it :)

Hi Corlier. I cannot find any .BMP files . I am not a programmer so ideally I would like to take V1 objects and make them appear in colour in new Slovenia scenery because when someone makes a V2 version of Wales and West I can then make my airfield again. There is only a limited number of objects in V2. So is it possible to describe (step by step) for example Open Object editor. Find .CX object in V1 then save as .c3d file and so on. That's as far as I can go with my limited knowledge. For instance , where or how do I alter textures to 1.0. 1.0. 1.0 ?

You do not alter textures, you have to set your object material color to white - which is R 1.0, G 1.0 and B 1.0. You have to do this in object editor for every element of your landscape object.

Here is the screen shot when I get a cx file from V1 (example Big Green Hanger) and open it with Object Viewer. As you can see, it is set to R1 G1 B1. It shows as a grey object . What am I missing to get it to show in colour.? Dont really understand textures or where to put or get things . Thanks

Does anyone know why the Object viewer in the new Landscape editor is not working ? Its a bit awkward having to look on the stand alone Object Viewer. V1 works fine .... in V1

Question, are you working on your one scenery?
If you try to work in an existing scenery it is not the right way.
You have to make 3d object your self, make textures for it and put it in your one scenery.
First step is to learn how to build your one scenery and than how to make 3d objects, make textures for it and put them in your scenery.

No . Using the C2 Slovenia landscape. I know how to use V1 Landscape editor as i have already added objects for my (rl) airfield to the Wales and West landscape. So all i wanted to do was to add Objects from V1 to V2 and wait for someone to re create Waes and West. the old .cx object files appear grey ( no colour) when i open the new Object Editor and so when i save to .c3d and place in Slovenia landscape they are grey. I can see that the rgb are set to 1.0 in Textures there is a blank space.

It is hard to say without seeing the original object.
