AA 0.10 - courchevel airport bug

Post by ryanto » Sun Dec 04, 2022 2:35 pm

Hello,

I don't know if it's the right section/forum to report this bug, but I noticed that the airport of Courchevel is bugged and barely usable on the landscape from AA 0.10. I made a little video to show the problem:

It's not a bug but rather Condor limitation to towing model.

Condor Team to simplify towing model they assumed that each airfield is flat, so as the tow starts rolling, it follows the same horizontal plane ignoring sloped terrain.
The airport itself is modelled correctly as far as it was possible (a sloping runway).

I don't know how much effort it can take by the Condor developers to take possibility to create proper sloped runway in condor but maybe in future it will be possible ;-)

OK, thanks for your answer. I understand for the towing part, but then, why is there the same problem when I land? at 1:44 you can see I go "through" the runway. Is it the same problem? Runway can only be flat, so we go through the non flat texture?

Yes correct. The airport is a workaround to get the looks of the sloped runway. But Condor does not really support it. Lets hope for Condor 3 to fix it.
