Setting tree density in ".ini" file (answered)

Post by GregHart1965 » Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:51 pm

I would like to set the tree density permanently in the .ini file so that it displays as intended (I have painted thousands of single trees - as in the picture below the tail of the glider). Is this possible to control (the setting seems separate from the game)? How do write this?

TreeDensity=VeryHigh?

Thanks in advance - Greg.

Ok as is usual in Condor experimentation usually answers the question. - It's not possible. Bummer :( (unless I wrote the .ini wrong). This the same scene with the tree setting on 'Very Low' - almost all of the trees are gone. This obviously has implications for racing as someone using a low setting would have a whole lot less hill-top trees to fly around than someone running a high setting. Yes I know one should be flying way above them but still. It would be nice to be able to fix the setting so things display as intended.

I agree. It should be a "tree visibility distance" instead of "tree density" setting so they are the same for everyone when flying close.

Agreed - oh well, probably impossible to change without major recoding.
