Set New Turn Points by Lat-Long?

Post by rlwagner » Wed Jun 10, 2020 1:46 am

I'm trying to duplicate all of my soaring club's published waypoints on the matching Condor landscape.

When I right-click and set a New > Turnpoint it does not allow me to set the lat-long. And these maps are not detailed enough to precisely right-click the spot I need.

Is there a way to come at this process from the other side? To create a new TP by lat-long and then name it to match my club's name?

The easiest thing to do is to add your turnpoints directly to the landscape turnpoints .cup file

I guess you have a cup file too, so it's just a matter of appending the contents of your file at the end of the Condor one
Otherwise add your turnpoints manually, then edit that file and fine-tune latitude, longitude (and altitude if needed)

Beware : Condor uses the .cup file that is located in DOCUMENTS\Condor\Turnpoints, not the one that is in ...\Condor2\Landscapes\MYLANDSCAPE\ which is read the first time a landscape is used, then not anymore.

If you want to insert (a) precise turnpoint(s) to a flight plan file, use CoCoCo in batch mode
