Post by HansE » Mon Apr 22, 2019 1:27 pm

I have downloaded the new version of the landscape NetherlandsHD by Lennartvm. The 1st texture file (NetherlandsHD3-textures1) is corrupt (Data ends unexpectedly). Does anyone experiece the same difficulties?
Does someone has a solution?

Thanx!

Delete the older version and install the new with the Condor Updater from CondorClub.

I got a waterfall of bugs because of the size of NetherlandsHD3-textures1.7z (for techies, size was handled as signed int32 in db and in code  2.2GB  overflow).

It's now fixed.

Even with the condor installer I got a pauze at 69.0% and then it wants to open a folder. If I click it away I get an error in the screen. Of course, if I use the other way with 7-zip I also have a problem to unzip NL HD3 texture 1. So none of the solutions work for me at this moment.

Does the fix regards to the download link at the condor club? The renewal date hasn't been changed. I'm willing to use every other trick to get the scenery working. Unfortunately, I'm no techie …..

Best regards,

Thijs

The issue is solved. Installing with Condor Updater works like a charm.

Thanks everybody!

Delete file NetherlandsHD3-textures1.7z or NetherlandsHD3-textures1.7z.downloading and try again (by using Condor Updater)

I have NetherlandsHD 2.02 installed on my PC, (downloaded on 05/04/2019, much smaller .7z files) which is correctly detected by CondorUpdater (1.0.7045, build 1276), but CU doesn't show the new NetherlandsHD in the new sceneries available, even after a few refreshes and restarts.

Download these files manually. Condor Update will recognize them as a new scenery.

That's obviously what I was about to do, but this means that there is a version number management issue.
I checked in the .ini files, the old one was 2.02, the new one is 3.00
If an older version is installed it should install the new one without having to manually delete the old one

@BOD1, Thanks for the help.

I have removed the texture1 file from the download folder and deleted the already unpacked NL HD3.0 file. I have runned the condor updater and marked the NL HD3.0 for the installation again. It downloaded the missing file (texture1) by itself and installed the whole scenery like it should be. It worked perfect and the scenery runs amazing. Just made a 200km flight and everything works pretty good. Thanks again for the effort.

All the best,

Thijs

Nice Scenery and a good improvement compared to the other ones :)

But I am missing the busiest gliding field between Düsseldorf and Köln: Langenfeld :(
I may help you getting nice buildings there

Can't successfully download the texture1 file... Have tried with and without Condor Updater. Condor Updater seems to hang at the verifying stage, then it ties to download again in a never ending loop... Is this file corrupt?

Gravity never loses. The best you can hope for is a draw.

The file is bigger than 2gb, it's a limitation somehow for some platform /hard disk/browser. Didn't find the cause yet...
