Hi,
I've attempted to use 16384x16348 tiles for scenery generation, instead of 8192x8192 size recommended in the landscape guide. When I try that, no DDS files are generated at all. Is this an nvdxt limitation? Can I get around that by maybe cropping the 16k tiles into smaller tiles? Or maybe there are other tools that can be used to generate high-resolution DDS files?
Thanks!
16k scenery tiles - nvdxt fails

Yes, you can cut them into the patches yourself and convert them into DDS from your image editing program. Every tile consists of 16 patches.

Worked great with ImageMagick, thank you! Going to try 32k textures to see how far I can push this.

Re: 16k scenery tiles - nvdxt fails
The Nvidia dds plugin for Photoshop knows how to do it; I cut my 16384x16384 terragen tiles into 4096x4096 pix bmp tiles with LandscapeEditor, and for the dds I make them one by one with Photoshop . I don't master the photoshop scripts to try if it's possible to do it by batch...modemch wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 3:13 pmHi,
