MatamataNew Zealand released

Post by Jan Oorthuijsen » Tue Nov 06, 2018 2:44 pm

Hi,

Matamata 1.0 is uploading naar Condorclub.

This scenery covers most of the North Island of new Zealandand is built with Matamata airport as base.
I have tried to make the airports as real as possible. Some gliding fields have a very short runway and are between the hills which make air tow very difficult please read the readme file and look at the attached xlsx file of the airport inside the Matamata scenery folder made by EDB

Hi,

For who has downloaded my scenery,
there are a few dds textures with alphachannel problems.

Here the link to the drive.
Expired,Expired

You can simply overwrite the dds files in the texture map with these improved ones, it does not give any problems with online flying.

I wait with updating via Condorclub to solve even more problems if they are discovered.

The best wishes for 2019, cheers.

Hello Jan

This is Douglas from New Zealand. First I want to say thank you for your hard work. I fly out of Kaikohe in the north island. I just installed Condor2 on my VR setup and download Matamata, Again thanks. Question for you I seem to be getting a lot of water around and noticed a lot of the texture files seem to be water. Is this something I am doing wrong perhaps? I have downloaded from both the club site and your google drive, and when I open the zip files lots of the textures seem to be the water files.

Cheers
Doug

Hi Again Jan

Happy New Year by the way

Please disregard my last post. My bad for some reason, not all the files unzipped. All sorted now.

Thanks again for all your hard work

Regards
Doug

Hello,

I also have that "water" problem.
Your Google drive link doesn't work - it's only a 178 byte zip file without any content.

Could you provide it again?

Thank you very much in advance!

Or you haven't installed the textures, or you have placed them in the wrong folder.

Look in the Condor2/Landscapes/Matamata / Texture folder which should contain file t0000 up to and including t 7579.

Size of the folder must be:
folder size 9,26GB (9,947,077,244 bytes)
folder size on the disk 9.27GB (9.959.444.480 bytes)
Content 6.080 files. 0 folders

btw the few dds textures I've been talking about has nothing to do with your problem.
That is purely a cosmetic problem of two txxxx files

Dank u, Jan!

Problem solved. It seems something went wrong during the unzipping process.
There were files missing in the textures folder.
Now I reinstalled Matamata, this time with the correct number of 6080 files and now it works finally. 🙂

Hi,
I did a flight yesterday and found a small black patch (missing textures) on the edge of lake Rotorua, south of Tauranga TP.
It was confirmed by the other pilot I was with.
Sorry , no screen shot available

Hi,

If that is the Patch north of NZRO that is already known (see screenshot) if it is not please coordinates. Thank you for reporting if you have any other comments, please let me know.
I already have a new patch for that one and will release an update together with some other corrections at the end of the real fly season.
