AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
Hi,
may this is a too hard work to build;
or to hard for the pc-hardware - i don't know.
Is anyone planning this great job?

The New AA work is in progress!
The main frame is set, and about 1/3 of the new high resolution textures are ready.
But after that, there will still remain a lot of work to do, with water, forests, and specific airfields facilities...Then testing, and patching the problems we'll find... So the release will probably need a few months.

Glad to hear that. AA was one of my favourites in v1 too.
Re: AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
In response to the many requests we received for the Alpine Arc scenery on Condor2, a pre-version of AA2 has entered the test phase.
This version is currently limited to the western part of the Alpine Arc.
It includes mostly the height map and final textures (except post-test retouching to come), but must be completed, particularly for important airfields installations.
Currently only the Vinon site is complete, the other sites all have standard objects.
The purpose of this early release is to allow volunteers to participate in its finalization, for an official release as soon as possible.
We need help:
If you are familiar with some airfields in this scenery, and want to build their installations just tell us the site(s) you wish to take charge of; the download link will be provided to you.
Here is the list of the airfields concerned:

Hi Michel,
Can we have an "install.exe" that ask where we want to install the Landscape...? ! I don't use the default Condor\ Landscape but a MKLINK /J F:\Jeux-SSD\Condor2\Landscapes\AA2 D:\Landscapes\AA2, Took me more time to move AA2 to D: ,than to download the scenery....

Salut la companie et bonne annee a tous avec un peu de retard/ Hi everyone and (belated Happy New Year),
Thank you Michel for this much anticipated AA2 v0.5 release. I have been getting back ion Condor Soaring for a couple of weeks and this is a nice treat to get up and flying. Lot's to catch-up with Condor 2.0.6 (VR Condor, great new tools like CoTASA) now that I can leverage, at last, the dedicated graphics card just installed in my desktop (waited a year).
Thanks to my time zone I was able to start the huge download when it was released on Condor Club, and I used the 1Fichier.com in one large file. After 15.5hours, the download stopped at 24.9Gb (it was about 4h ago), so close to being completed.
Questions:
1) The Resume download (Chrome) fails, can this still be resumed through and/or with 1Fichier.com? (I tried Ninja Download Manager and Free Download Manager, and no luck).
2) The limitation on Condor club to three download slots is understandable, but is there a way to schedule a queue with a download manager program since CC does not this feature, to allow a sequential download of all the files for the scenery of interest like AA2?
3) In anticipation of more scenery space requirements, is using mklink appropriate to split landscapes folder/sceneries over and between two physical drives?
The idea is to keep Condor and frequently used sceneries installed on C: m.2 SSD 1TB drive and make use of D: HDD 8Tb drive for the bulk of the sceneries.
For now, I restarted the download process 1 to 3 files at a time, as the slots become available on CC.
Thank you in advance for your inputs,
Donat
