AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
Re: AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
Where is your Condor Installed?
You could try running it from the command line. Read this:

Re: AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
I've had the same problem : the exe is looking for a disk drive on which Condor is supposed to be installed. It is using a registry key from a previous installation. However, this key is specific to InnoSetup and it is not the one one would expect : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Condor2\InstallDir (which is used by patches and hangar updates). This is going to be fixed laterwickid wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 5:52 pmWhere is your Condor Installed?

I have tested the workaround, it works like charm !
To make it short for the non-geeks :
Assuming your exe has been downloaded to C:\Users\My_Name\Downloads and Condor is installed in D:\Condor2 :
Open a command prompt window (Windows menu/accessories)
>C:
C:\>Cd \Users\My_Name\Downloads
C:\Users\My_Name\Downloads >AA2.EXE /DIR=D:\Condor2
Note : your input is not case-sensitive

Re: AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
Michel is there a place to report AA2 bugs?
Someone may have a reported it already, possibly you encountered it yourself yesterday on TchinTchin, but there is a crater on Levaldigi airport that affects everyone after the first two airplanes.
This one is visible just by looking at it, but testing airfields when the tow line is dozens of planes long is probably a difficult issue to solve.

Re: AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
Everybody is invited to report bugs in this topic.
We have a special topic in the AA2 beta forum on condorsim.fr where I list these problems and their possible resolution, with any necessary tests afterward.
For the specific Levaldigi problem, we've been unlucky: usually on Landscapes Editor, the altitude differences are quite visible, with altitude numbers of different colours, but in this case, 372 and 380 are both of the same colour...
And as our tests were conducted on solo flights, the holes in the runway have been unnoticed.

Re: AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
I have a question about this landscape... I downloaded the exe and the 30 bin files and have them on my D: drive. Condor in on my C: drive, but I'm going to use an mklink to redirect to the d drive since there is not enough room on my c.
When I run the exe though it doesn't give me the option to choose where, and instead of installing it in the Condor2>Landscapes folder it was downloaded into on my d drive, it's putting it into my c.
Is there a way to choose the drive it installs on or do I have to move my Condor installation to the drive I want it to install on?

The answer to your question is in the same thread, 4 or 5 posts higher : viewtopic.php?p=162771#p162216sisu1a wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 7:26 amWhen I run the exe though it doesn't give me the option to choose where, and instead of installing it in the Condor2>Landscapes folder it was downloaded into on my d drive, it's putting it into my c.

Re: AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
I think there is another way that could work:
You may try to build, before install, a symbolic link with mklink in your Condor2\Landscapes directory pointing to your intended AA2 directory (for example D:\Condorsceneries\AA2).
When the installer is launched it should follow this link. If it does, you will be able to launch the scenery immediately after install.

Following up on this, this worked like a charm and I got the landscape installed on my d drive via a redirecting folder link on my c drive that was set up ahead of unpacking the landscape. I suck ad cmd prompt but found a super easy to use addon that was spoken highly of in many nerd circles. It;'s called Link Shell Extension and makes creating mklinks as easy as right click copy/pasting

Hi dgtfer,
Do you have a plan to expand this beautiful scenery? You miss my town and airport 10 km to east. LDVA - Varaždin
tnx, regards

Re: AA (Arc Alpin) may be in future on Condor2?
We are working hard now to finish the eastern part with textures, forest and objects, and that's our immediate goal.
An extension eastward would not be impossible, but we are already far from the central meridian and the distortion with UTM projection are becoming sensible.
I'd rather vote for a great central European scenery, from Greece to south Poland, with the former Yugoslavia, Slovakia, Hungary, Albania and parts of western Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria.
This should be technically possible, but it's also a lot of work...

Just stopping by to say that AA2 is an absolute blast of a scenery, an unbelievable playing ground for adventures.
With trees XD
I'm based in LOXN (Wiener Neustadt West), the huge grass airfield at the very eastern end of your scenery. Can I be of any assistance? (airport card, photos etc)
