Millfield is near the top edge but should just be in.

This evening I added Wellburn airfield, the one time home of Slingsby Sailplanes.

I have also included Latrigg in the Lake District as I believe it may have been used as a temporary site at some time.

Any other ideas for airfields?

Should have a beta version on my google drive within a month.

Andy, a general question, do your sceneries include wave, because I have been unable to find it ? I have set the weather parameters to give wave, I know how to find it and fly it in real life, have tried several locations in Condor, but so far no wave, other than in the original supplied scenery.

Wave is a Condor feature. Landscape authors don't do anything special to make it. They do need ridges/mountains though.

Didn't find that thread very helpful. If you climb into wave from ridge lift, as I have done in real life many, many times, then the wave was propogated by hills upwind of your ridge, which fortuitously is in phase. That is why they are called Lee Waves. I tried again at Talgarth. Set up the wave parameters, a 25kt South wind blowing over the Brecon Beacons, set off at just under 5000ft, and flew diagonally towards the Beacons. If wave was there this flight path would intersect it. It didn't. Having got close to the Beacons, I then flew diagonally, NW away from them, again no wave.
If wave is built into Condor 2, then it does not seem to work as it does in real life. I have tried without thermals around, and with, in fact thermals do not stop wave forming. One of the classic ways to get into wave is a thermal climb into cloud, and to come out on the upwind side into wave, if the cloud is in the right place. I used this technique about 10 days ago, to get into wave.
So perhaps someone could explain how the wave feature that is built into Condor 2 actually works.

I am putting a beta version (0.90) of the scenery onto my Google Drive.

The textures are still to have some tweaking to improve colour, contrast and remove clouds.

There may also be some bumps/dips where there should not be.

Some airfields included are now closed but been included to provide interesting launch points.

Please post any problems, comments or possible additions on the North-UK Condor Forum thread.

There are 4 7zip files:

North-UK.7z.001 to 004

Download them all to a folder.

Using the 7zip software extract the North-UK.7z.001 file.

7zip should extract all the scenery files into a North-UK folder.

Cut/copy and paste this North-UK folder into your Condor 2 landscape floder.

The scenery has 2k dds files.

The scenery will take 6gb of hard disk.

Hope you like the scenery.

Pleased to hear it went all OK this time.

I might agree with you about the wave. There has been some comments on the forum.
