Here is a short video of the Black Mountains Gliding Club using Condor2. Flying the club ASK - 21 and the Condor L-13 Blanik ( any chance of getting a Ask-13?) i have taken out the trees i added ( except for the Oak tree outside the clubhouse and the two Birch trees) . This improves the frame rate on lower spec computers. It is difficult to use controls properly without a joystick so excuse the poor flying.

Currently working on an update to this scenery. It will have some airfield detail thanks to contributions and also my own efforts at the Long Mynd. It will have an updated thermal map and turning points. Will provide a link to download shortly.

This scenery is work in progress and part of OXO's 'Airfield Project'. So if you would like your own gliding site that is in the West-UK2 coverage and fancy a bit of 3d modelling, then PM OXO for details of the file sharing server.

Paul's recent contribution of Husbands Bosworth looks great.

I am also having a go at doing Bicester and Dorset GC at Wareham.

Hi Andy,
I'd love to get involved to create some nice graphics for North Hill, but I don't know much about 3D modelling. Would it be possible to add North Hill to your list - happy to provide help where I can.
We have just started doing 100Km triangles for our pre cross-country pilots and the response has been fantastic. To use the simulator for circuit planning etc, we really need better definition around the airfield, including trees on the approach etc.

Hi Jill,

You can hep by providing pictures of all the buildings, and any other images which would help the modeller.

Maybe ask around your juniors if any of them can do some 3d modelling?

Thanks so much for this scenery, it's fantastic! Is there a V2 of this scenery available?

I passed my PPL a couple years ago and haven't flown since (too expensive), so I'd like to get back into gliding next year.

I only actually bought Condor because I realised I could install this scenery and glide around Somerset and the Mendips :D

Re: people helping out 3D modelling... I'm a CAD Engineer (clues in my username!), I might be able to help out with a bit of modelling (but it depends what tools are needed).

West UK is a Condor 2 scenery and is available for download from Condor Club;

http://www.condor-club.eu/viewscenery/242/?id=283

West-UK2 is an extended (to the East, includes Dunstable) with more detailed airfields. It is currently 'Work in Progress' and part of a Condor Airfield project to model the airfields.

A beta (advance testing version of the scenery) will be available soon on my Google drive. I will post details on this thread when available.

Ah, got it - I'm running Condor 2.

Very pleased to see so many airfields on the scenery too :)

Hi Chris / Andy,
There is a lot of footage of the North Hill buildings in the video made by Matt Wright (Balleka) The drone footage gives a good view.
I can get more photos of the buildings if you wish.
https://youtu.be/2T0ss2Z2oJk

I will also get some photos of the fence and trees.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks Jill.

That is a very good quality video. I should be able to get some building external textures from a paused still.

I have made a 'rough and ready' North Hill which can be enhanced.

I quite welcome anyone with 3d skills to make a better one.

Some pics of the external parts of the buildings for any of the West UK2 airfields are welcome. As OXO says post them on a drop site and place the link here.

An updated Beta version (0.91) of West-UK2 has been uploaded to my Google Drive.

It has revised/updated Thermal map and turn point data. Some added 3d objects to some airfields.

Once again and comments/problems/errors please post on this thread.

Scenery is on 7x7zip files (.001 to .007). It is an 7zip archive so you must download all 7 files first. Extract using only 7zip software and only extract the .001 file. The archive will automatically extract all zip files into a folder called 'West-UK2'.

This scenery is large and will take up 11gb of disk storage.

Link to my Google Drive:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sjXds78tp2

Edit - I have also uploaded the updated zip files to OXO’s FTP server.

Thanks to the help of Xaviar who has modelled the objects/buildings for Nympsfield, I am now applying the textures to those objects and it is beginning to look good.

However I am stuck with the big long hanger/shelter on the south side of airfield.

Can anyone from Nympsfield post a pic of the sides of this hanger? Is It an open shelter?

Any help very welcome.
