I have a link to dropbox with photos for North Hill, initially just the trees at the east end and a google map image showing location of the trees, fence, beech trees and windsock. (Haven't had a chance to look at your new landscape yet). I took some photos of the buildings, but with the very low sun, the images weren't very good, will try to get some better ones.

Thanks for all your work.

Thanks for help on North Hill.

Work is progressing well on the the next beta upgrade.

I need some help with some photos of the buildings and site features of both Camphill and Dunstable.
Are there any Condor flyers out there from these sites that can take some snaps for me?
Ideally buildiings as square on as possible so that the detail can be added as a texture to the 3d object.

The better and more accurate the 3d objects then the more realistic the scenery will appear if you use it in your club simulator.

If you can help, PM me for an email address.

An evaluation beta (0.92) version of West-UK2 has been uploaded to my Google drive:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sjXds78tp2

I have used the Condor Support Team Inno installer to create the install files.

It includes a hash file which will sum check the downloaded bin files.

The download is 5.43Gb in total and the installed scenery will be 23Gb.

Lots of additions in this version but still a lot of work to done. Please post any comments/problems with the scenery here.

Any problems with Inno installer please post here:

Important note : unless you know exactly what you are doing (and are able to move folders if something goes wrong), do not change the installation folder when installing the scenery.
The default folder is correct

Wow!

This is a HUGE & GREAT contribution to the community!

Thank you!

One question, as the scenery gets updated, will patches become available, or will the whole scenery need to be redownloaded again ?

West-UK2 is still very much work in progress. Lots more still to do, more water alpha's and lots more airfields to 3d model. Unfortunately all being done on my own.

I am making beta versions available for users to test and try out so they do have to wait ages for the finished scenery.

This way when the final version is ready and uploaded to CC it will be a good un! It does mean that flights cannot be uploaded to CC as it is not a recognised scenery.

Thanks for your feedback. :)

Created my 1st task, and started flying it ( until wife was aware and sent a FLARM signal … ) and it really looks GREAT even if it's only beta!

Thx!

Thanks for the Photos Jill.

Hopefully this is looking more like North Hill.

I use Wings 3d. Get building size from Google Earth. Simple shape. Then uv map it. Add textures of building from photos (North Hill provided). Takes time.

I am back working on West-UK2 after updating and releasing Scotland 4.

Still have a fair way to go, 25 airfields to model and textures to fix. But, if you are interested in a pre-release try out of the scenery I have uploaded a revised version (v0.96) on my Google drive:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sjXds78tp2

Unfortunately you will not be able to upload any tasks flown on it to Condor Club until it is officially launched.

If you decide to have a look at it, you will have a 5.7gb download of 7 files (7zip archive), 001 to 007. Download all 7 files then use 7zip software to open the 001 file and the archive will automatically unzip into a West-UK2 folder. it is about 30gb unzipped, a chunky scenery! I need to reduce the size of my plain sea tiles (Water Alpha tool only works on 8192 tiles), any ideas welcome.

Once again comments and error reports welcome. The scenery does have a correct thermal map, trees, water effects and 3d objects. Please have a look at Nympsfield (modelled by Xaviar), Husband Bosworth (Modelled by Paul) and Targarth (modelled by Redmond). I have modelled many other sites, Camphill to high detail, North Hill, Halesland and I have also had a go at Dunstable (interested to get some feedback on this one, pic attached)

Hope to have it uploaded to Condor Club in the near future.
