Scoring on tasks with no PDA

Post by Rotareneg » Thu Sep 09, 2021 10:08 pm

As we know Condor 2 does not enforce the max start altitude on tasks with the PDA disabled, but could it be possible to at least flag results that violate the limits in the Condor Club score?

Why? How can you check altitude without GPS? There were no start limits in the olden days. That is why condor doesn't check it either. Only checks for a valid turnpoint photo.

If you really want to enforce start altitude limits in no-PDA flights, you should set a penalty zone above the start sector (behind the start line), with high enough penalties (both on entry and per second)

Good point, I suppose Condor shouldn't record a flight track either when the PDA is off, pilots should just upload screenshots onto Condor Club for no-PDA tasks.
