How does CC calculate results?

Hi,

I have uploaded first time a result of a CC-task

This is the task -> https://www.condor-club.eu/besttimes/0/?id=17424

I don't understand the results.

All competitors flew the same distance, so the only difference is the time / the speed.

The best one used the Ventus 3-15 with a speed of 142,09 km/h getting 1000 points.
I used the Ka6CR with a speed of 84,69 km/h getting 657 points.

If I set 142,09 km/h to 1000, 84,69 km/h will get 596 points (1000 / 142,09 * 84,69 = 596)

This task has handicapped scoring, so I correct the speed with the index (I should do this with the distance, but it's mathematically the same)

The Ventus has an index of 114, 142,09 km/h * 100 / 114 = 124,64 km/h
The Ka6 has an index of 82, 84,69 km/h * 100 / 82 = 103,28 km/h

If I set 124,64 km/h to 1000, 103,28 km/h will get 828 points (1000 / 124,64 * 103,28 = 828)

But I never get 657 points ...

Please can you post the formula to calculate the results? I searched the web, but found nothing else than that the index only corrects the distance. If there are other influancing factors it's good to know to choice the right plane for a competition.

Thanks for your answer

Just search for "glider FAI scoring rules". There a points for distance and points for speed...

Thanks,

need a Dr. in mathematics

Maybe I don't have to understand this all, thinking too much ... ;-)

Also if you have less then 2/3 of the handicapped speed of the winner you will only get distance points.

And the scores change with each upload because of the day factor.... It is all very complicated

Thanks wickid,

but 103,28 km/h is more than 2/3 of 124,64 km (= 83,09 km/h), and my real speed without index (84,69 km/h) is it too.

Only without index I'm under 2/3 (84,69 km/h < 142,09 *2/3 (= 94,73 km/h)).
