Difference between 'Two seater' and '20m multi-seat'

Post by Paul_UK » Sat Oct 31, 2020 4:57 pm

Now the Stemme has been released if I were to set a task as 'Two Seater' class would that allow the Duo and the Stemme to compete against each other with handicap taken into account?

If I free up some time sure!

I tried testing this and it wouldn't let me upload a task saved as all and set 'two seater'. Then I recalled, I think the 'Two Seater' class is a Condor 1 class.

So it doesn't look possible to have the Duo / Stemme race each other. I could stipulate in Task info to only use one or the other, I think that's the only method to manage such a task.

20 meter multiseat was called twoseater before I think V2.1.2. That version brought the plane classes in line with the FAI names.

The Stemme competes in Open class. As would for example the ASH25/30 and Nimbus 4D. 20 meter multiseat is a specific class containing: Duo Discus/DG500/DG1000/Arcus/ASG32/Twin Shark.

just tried it and you can't select a class that condor club will accept - it says the wrong class is selected in the fpl because you have to use the all | open class.

Thanks Wikid. Yes I understand why the devs have gone this route and it makes sense. Just feels like whilst the Stemme is pretty cool it doesn't have much need to be used in a race at present. I was just thinking that the two seater class would be entertaining seeing as there is the ASK21, Blanik, Duo and Stemme now.

I could stipulate use a two seater in the task notes though, that'll have to do :D

I noticed the same when uploading to CC yesterday Paul.
