Handicaps on CC

Post by Bre901 » Mon Oct 26, 2020 7:43 pm

Looking at today's Tchin-tchin race I see two strange things :
https://www.condor-club.eu/ftrrank/0/?f ... 8b30576f51

The race was a 18-m class race , hence no handicap should apply

Moreover, if one looks at the last version of the DAeC document, the ASG29-18 now has the same handicap as the JS1-18 and the Ventus3-18
18m Klasse
JS 1 Revelation 18m; Ventus 3; JS 3 18m 119
Antares 18S / T; ASH 31 Mi 18m; LS 10 18m 118
Ventus 2cxa 18; ASG 29 18m 119
Source : https://www.daec.de/fileadmin/user_uplo ... final_.pdf

These handicaps have been updated in Condor since 2.14

Please update !

We already talked about this. This particular page scores flight from unknown task (not posted on CC). I use a "fingerprint" to identify all FTRs with a similar flight plan, but because I don't have the FPL, I don't know which class was selected. So I use handicap. Please post task on CC to get correct scoring.
I fixed DAeC.

But class is declared in fpl => also in igc, isn't it?

Code: Select all

[Plane]
Class=15-meter
In igc generated by c-c it looks like: HFCCLCOMPETITIONCLASS:15-meter

Couldn't c-c just use this information?
No matter where you go... There you are...

The class information is available in the FTR too, and you already know how to read it otherwise the CC FTR->IGC converter wouldn't be able to put that information into the IGC file
Please post task on CC to get correct scoring.
We have a different tasksetter everyday, the tasks may not be known in advance and the admins may have to upload the tasks to the server and the forum, sometimes at the last minute ...

Would it be possible to automate the posting of the task to CC from the server ?
I fixed DAeC.
Thanks

Please note that there is an exception:
The EB29R is not listed in the DAeC document and OLC has different values for the EB29 (125) and the EB29R (127), hence Condor uses the latter value (127)

However there is a small bug: the value shown in the flight planner is different (125)

I set a club class task last night, for club weekly soaring. I looked at the task when done, and saw that the Pegase index is not included - says 0.0 - not a problem since most are flying LS4's, but it should be corrected when you have a second.

Also, the LS-4a shows a DAeC index of 104 on the technical page in the Condor 2 Hangar, vs 102.5 on this list. Not complaining, since I fly an LS-4!

Thanks for your good work.

You may not have noticed, but you have actually posted the answer to your comment:

I added the missing IGC index for Pegase. Otherwise, as Bre901 wrote, it's IGC index (because it's a club class, and club class is a special class created by IGC).

Thanks for the prompt reply! I'll pass on the index comments to our club-class fliers to get them up to date. I like the club class selection, though I look forward to the SZD-55 joining them (own production #0001).

Cheers
Dan
