I have just discovered that Paul_P78 has stolen tasks recently proposed on Tchin-tchin races and posted them on CC without quoting the origin and just modifying some realism parameters.
I found 2, there may be more of them.
https://www.condor-club.eu/showtask/0/?id=16305
https://www.condor-club.eu/showtask/0/?id=16306
Beyond being a more than un-sporty behaviour, it has the big disadvantage of making the online race classification disappear
Edited to add I found one more, for which the changes made were sufficient to make CC consider it a different task

@BOD1 : Wouldn't it be possible to consider a task as different if it is uploaded to CC after a certain number of flights have already been uploaded ?

Re: Stolen tasks
Hi Bre,
Paul here!
Stolen is a strong word to use when the fpl files are free to all in a public domain however I acknowledge that in hindsight I should have made acknowledgement to the Tchin Tchin team for the tasks and I have take action to rectify this. Please accept my apologies for not doing this in the first place my aim wasn't to take credit for creating tasks, I just want to fly them. If the tasks had been officially uploaded to CC I'd have just submitted a variant which would have automatically made acknowledgement to the Tchin Tchin task creators.
I've flown several Tchin Tchin tasks and I think they're great and so do the pilots I fly with, many of whom cannot make the Tchin Tchin races due to work and other commitments. Please take it as credit that we enjoy flying your tasks. All are very aware that what we fly now and then are Tchin Tchin derived tasks.
I am sorry to hear that the scoring is being affected, I had no idea this would be the case, how would I? Maybe BOD can help out here.
I am however disappointed you've brought this discussion into view of the public considering you've also messaged me through private channels.

2018 - Silver Badge complete - Forgot I could claim for the 100km diploma flying an out and return
2019 - Get up to speed and aim for a 300km task?! maybe.....
Re: Stolen tasks
Hi Paul
Marc here
It would be nice if he could at least provide the community with some information about what to change in an FPL so that it's considered as different because changing the realism parameters is clearly not enough
Marc here
Thanks
I understand that, apologies accepted. Please accept my apologies for not doing this in the first place my aim wasn't to take credit for creating tasks, I just want to fly them.
Uploading the tasks to CC is not standard procedure at Tchin-tchin as you might have noticedIf the tasks had been officially uploaded to CC I'd have just submitted a variant which would have automatically made acknowledgement to the Tchin Tchin task creators.
Thanks

I already asked him here (see above) and by PM on CC.All are very aware that what we fly now and then are Tchin Tchin derived tasks.

Sorry about that, i was a bit upset this morning and I hadn't found out the relationship between the different monikers you useI am however disappointed you've brought this discussion into view of the public considering you've also messaged me through private channels.

Re: Stolen tasks
Thanks for taking the time to reply Marc.
I do not myself understand why the scores are linked across tasks that are variants of another, maybe BOD can explain.
I have seen one instance in the past when I uploaded a variant of a task with an altered class where the version I uploaded had issues with the scoring however the original task remained unchanged score wise.
I can inform you that in the task you list that appears as different I changed the class from OPEN to ALL. I will have also reduced the finish gate line width. So changing class combined with a change in finish line size must make the task appear to be sufficiently different enough? That doesn't match what I found though before and CC only recognised it as a variant when class was altered, not a completely new task.
In the SCHOOL class task you listed I will have altered the finish line width, so changing that feature alone isn't enough to make a task appear different enough to CC.
Going through those points it is more than likely a combination of changes are required before CC comes to the conclusion a task is different enough to be classed as a new task.
Let see what BOD has to say.

Re: Stolen tasks
Reviving this thread because someone else just did this again with the Tchin-Tchin task today. They changed the task from all gliders to club class and uploaded it onto condor.club , killing the online results from the actual Tchin-Tchin flight.
The task they uploaded: https://www.condor.club/showtask/0/?id=21831
And results from my flight, for example: https://www.condor.club/analysis/0/?rank=939661
