Hi,
I have a problem with connection of XCSoar to Condor.
I made a bluetooth COM PORT
Then enabled NMEA output in Condor chosing COM 4 as the same as COM PORT.
And here starts the problem. After chosing my PC as port in XCSoar and CONDOR as driver
after trying to connect to Condor I have the following notification " read failed, socket might closed or timeout, read ret: -1 "
Does any one of you guys had this problem and found an solution?
Please help

Re: Connecting XC-SOAR
hi
Unfortunately my way of XCSoar connection to PC could not help your case.
For Condor, I have XCSoar tablet connect via USB to a notebook port replicator?, which has RS232 and ethernet port in addition to others, to my Condor PC that also use an USB to serial/RS232 adaptor with a null modem cable in between. This physical comm's setup has been working over ten years with numerous XCSoar updates, changed tablet recently from 32bits Linux to 64bits Android (Toughpad FZ-B2 @ end 2022) and also changed PC once back in 2018 for C1 upgrade to C2. Sometimes use USB-OTG connect to xcsoar in Kobo e-reader.
So physical connection maybe less problem than wireless.
cheers

Re: Connecting XC-SOAR
If you are using XCSoar on the same PC as Condor, I don't think the Bluetooth COM port is the solution
I would rather use a COM port emulator like VSPE and create a COM port pair, one port connected to Condor and the other one to XCSoar

Then you should be able to use the Bluetooth dongle with your desktop, or, if it's a laptop already with BT, then even better...
