Please give all landscape names, so we can blacklist them...

Re: Condor and XCsoar alt difference
We already know your opinion about landscapes and landscapes creators
So look at that now (using Nephi-HD.xcm)

Re: Condor and XCsoar alt difference
You need to start airborne and then check.
Now you might see delays in data transfer.
I don't see 50m off.

Re: Condor and XCsoar alt difference
You may fake the corners of a scenery. Those faked coordinates have different altitudes. A different height on the ellipsoid. Giving altitude errors over the whole landscape.

Re: Condor and XCsoar alt difference
The example I show is Nephi
I did start airborne.

You are flying 103kmh...

Re: Condor and XCsoar alt difference
One more, regarding vario for you RL pilots.
What vario lag settings would be realistic? Is default 1 s for vario and 1,5 s for evario OK?

Re: Condor and XCsoar alt difference
If EDB is consistent with himself he should immediately backlist Slovenia also
... or admit the issue has nothing to do with scenery calibration but differences between the geoid and the ellipsoid(s) used to approximate it
airborne start, before start, Slovenia-HD.xcm :
same flightplan data except scenery=AA2, same .xcm
The 2 m difference is indeed due to calibration, but the difference between C2 and XCS is exactly the same in the two cases
Case closed M'lud.

Don't worry, that was for EDB, not for you

Re: Condor and XCsoar alt difference
If I select "Alt Baro" or "Alt GPS" the value matches perfectly with Condor in Slovenia.
Also in Nephi, Arc Alpin and NZ. So please stop bickering about landscapes. The problem is most likely a setting in XCSoar.
