Hi everyone!
Aside from using Google Maps or the landscape preview at http://www.condor-club.eu/viewscenery, how can you use the in-game PDA to locate the next airfield? Do you simply create those waypoints in your flight plan before flying?
My understanding is that this is actually a feature in a lot of flight assistant software for tablets.
How do you find the nearest airfield?

in the map view, press 1 until you don't have the map in the background.
Look for circles with lines through them. I believe those are airfields.

That's great, thanks!
I was kind of hoping to use the waypoint finder to do this, because it should also tell you whether or not your current rate of descent will allow you to reach it, but hey, that's how the cookie crumbles.

You can use a real flight computer with condor if you want, like xcsoar. Run it on a secondary screen or laptop or on your mobile phone. If you make sure you load the correct map and cup files in xcsoar you can use that to guide you to the nearest airfield.
