Re: Glider Polar Data
So he means the Ventus3-15-FXB.xcp file that isn't there in the zip file from MPT..?
OK... now I understand.

Re: Glider Polar Data
Have you seen a difference in wing loading when activating the fixed ballast ?
I haven't.
Look at your Flightplan.fpl in the Pilots\Your_Name folder :
And then take a look at the README.txt :............................
[Plane]
Class=All
Name=Ventus3-15
Skin=Default
Water=155
FixedMass=0
CGBias=4
............................
For each glider, there are two files (except for single seaters whose fixed ballast is 0)
- glider.xcp : minimum dry mass (single-seaters : no fixed ballast, two-seaters : one pilot)
- glider-FXB.xcp : maximum dry mass (single-seaters : fixed ballast, two-seaters : two pilots).

Re: Glider Polar Data
Sorry for the confusion with FXB
I was confused with the term “dry-mass”. I thought this meant “no water “

Re: Glider Polar Data
It does indeed, but the fixed-ballast in Condor means that dry-mass may (or not, depending on plane type) have different values
It's the same IRL : heavier or lighter pilots bringing more or less equipment, food supplies or parachute with them.

Re: Glider Polar Data
Following the release of the ASK21, I have updated the polar set, it is available for download :
https://drive.google.com/open?id=10Z62G ... QGaeIKMzlC
The set is complete with all the previous (unchanged) polars.
As usual, taking at look at the README.txt is more than recommended

Re: Glider Polar Data
Hello!
From change log:
– enhanced flight models and performance of some planes
Looks like some gliders have different polar now. We don't know unf. which ones, but I guess LS8 or Antares maybe?

Re: Glider Polar Data
To my knowledge, only the Antares polar has been modified (and it has been updated in XCSoarPolarsHU4.zip)
I just re-checked, the LS8 polar is unchanged

Re: Glider Polar Data
Thanks again for this Bre901. Do you have an updated comparison polar chart with the newer gliders on it also?
