CH Pro Pedals and Windows 11

Post by jmurtari » Wed Apr 12, 2023 4:02 pm

Folks, any advice is welcome on this.

I'd been using Condor 2 and CH Pro Pedals very successfully on Windows 10. Used their 'control manager' software and didn't have a problem with the setup.

Just got a new Windows 11 PC, was able to move Condor ok, but having real trouble with Pro Pedals. Here is what I've tried.

1. Just plugged them in to a USB 3 port, they got picked up as USB game controllers by Windows, no problem with Calibration/tests... but Condor did not recognize them as I tried to set the rudder inputs. It didn't sense any activity.

2. Tried other USB ports, no change.

3. Download the Pro Pedals control manager. It sensed the pedals, allowed for test/calibration - but still not recognized by Condor.

4. Contacted Pro Pedals support and was happy to get a reply. They told me "Don't use the control manager software on Windows 11, not necessary. Uninstall everything, reboot, and just plug them in.

5. Did all that, and I was back at Step 1 above, still not working.

Getting ready to buy some other pedals, still hoping someone has a new idea.
Many thanks!
John

Solved the problem! I was using the LEFT/RIGHT rudder input settings on the control input screen (not detected).
Simply selected the RUDDER setting (below Pitch/Bank) and it worked fine.

Can't believe how many hours I wasted for such a simple mistake....
