Hi Guys
After my Condor PC was stolen I have to build one again. I am thinking of buying a wide format screen for a better view around the glider. Please would you list the screen options available in Condor2. I'm thinking that a wide screen without the proper setting in the Condor setup, will leave me with black borders on either side of the screen. I can't look the format options up myself as everything was pinched. Cheers Jeff

Re: Condor2 available screen format options
In my humble opinion, instead of buying an PC with a wider screen, you could buy an PC VR ready (I.ve got one) second hand it´s not expensive, and a Oculus Rift S HMD (you could buy in Wallapop at a good price).
If you try the VR, I gess you´d never return to flat screen again...
Goodbye and good flights

Condor can go very wide resolutions. You can set the FOV angle to what suits your display.JeffSmith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 5:59 pmHi Guys

Re: Condor2 available screen format options
re. VR Oculus Rift etc. I've not tried one, but when I first flew with Condor I used to get motion sickness when thermaling.
I think I'll have to try one out first.
I'm aware of the viewing angle, and have played around with it to find the ideal angle.
What I'm referring to is format e.g. 1920 x 1080. What I'm requesting, is the screen format options available in the Setup menu. I can't see them now because my S/W and PC are gone. Would someone please list them for me here, so I don't buy a screen with a format that Condor doesn't support. I've found a 3440 x 1440 and a 2560 x 1080. Does Condor support these two wider screens?

Flying Condor 2 on 3440x1440 for 7 years now.
Perfect.
Perfect.

Re: Condor2 available screen format options
AFAIK it is not like Condor 1 anymore where it was restricted by the DirectX version used. Condor 2 can output any resolution you can throw at it. I myself have had it run on 3072x768. Finding the correct FOV that goes with the resolution is the challenge. It also supports multiple screens which you can offset. I think some people run 3 full HD monitors for a total resolution of 5760x1080
