Logitech Throtle Quadrant Question

Post by Jim_RA » Mon Feb 21, 2022 7:54 pm

Does anyone use the Logitech Throttle Quadrant to control the Gear, Flaps, and Spoilers/Airbrakes?
I see people cobbling together rigs to control the same, I just thought that an off-the-shelf unit would work.
I would like to know before I spend the cash.

I have one and I'm quite happy with it. I use it for flaps, airbrakes and throttle (when applicable)
Moreover, you have 6 extra buttons you can assign commands to, or program specific keystrokes, plus 3 "reverse" positions (one for each lever). I use the one of the airbrakes level for the wheel brake.
I don't think it's possible use use a lever for the gear as the gear command is associated to a button or a keystroke, not an axis

FYI: I have created a set of changeable paper strips to indicate the flaps position

I also am very satisfied with my quadrant. I designated a lever to air brake, the central to flaps, and the other to trim. You'll loose trim indication on screen doing so, but it allows a fine adjustment, very fine, indeed.

I set the keys to game start, autopilot/pause, release, gear and ballast toggle.

And don't forget to get Bre901's flap strips. It's very useful

If you have a problem when installing, following would help you.

I had this problem but after fixing, it is quite comfortable to control a glider.

Some of my friends say they tilt it 45 degree and fix on the desk.
I would like to try it.
