Condor 2 with intel iris XE

Post by wfreeman1953 » Sat Jan 01, 2022 3:56 am

I have a new dell xps 9310 laptop running windows 10 with 512 GB SSD, 16 GB memory, i7 processor, and intel IRIS XE graphics. According to performance check listing, (internal) XE graphics card it has a score of about 2800. Condor install was successful, But under condor settings, it says I do not meet minimum system requirements ( and it notes 128 MB video ram.) So no free flight or anything else seems possible.
I have set all the graphics related condor settings to as minimal as possible, and rebooted after installation, but still have red text saying does not meet min reqs. Any suggestions? Is there a system setting on the windows side that might help, for example?

Minimum requirements ar 1024 Mb of dedicated Vram. If you do not meet that this warning will keep showing. This Iris XE Graphics only has 128 Mb of Vram, so you can't get rid of the warning. It doesn't prevent you from trying to play though. Condor will most probably run normally with reduced graphic settings

Try it at mimimum settings and then one by one increasing the graphic settings as long as you have acceptable framerates (press SHIFT-D) to see this in game.

Thanks, for the info. I have gotten it to run since my earlier note, once i also got the buttons across the bottom of the window to show.

Hi Bill
I'm considering buying hardware similar to yours. How would you describe your Condor experience? Does it only work with everything set to minimum, or can you still have good quality graphics? Does it run smoothly or freeze a lot?
Thanks & regards
Michael
