Keyboard Mapping

Post by anorlunda » Fri Aug 28, 2020 5:26 pm

I'm new to Condor. The manual appendix KEYS shows keys ADD and SUBTRACT for zoom, and Numeric keyboard keys for views. I don't have those on my keyboard. Nor do the + and - keys on my keyboard seem to work for ADD and SUBTRACT.

How can I change the keyboard mapping, or to find out which keys on my keyboard map to the keys in the manual?

Thanks for any help.

[SETUP] [INPUT] [Assign controls]
I don't know if you have enough keys on the laptop to map all the commands
I'm sorry I can't help much on that as I run Condor on a desk side PC with a regular keyboard

Let's hope some laptop user will read the post and answer

Maybe you could edit the title of your post and add "laptop"

I found it pretty easy to remap On a laptop. I still use the same map even though I have a ‘normal’ keyboard - I guess I fear change.

I used A S W D X for view panning and S for recentering the view.

I use M now for water because it’s an upside down W. And I use I O and K and L for PDA controls. Like zoom and McCready setting. That’s the main changes I think. I’m not at home. But like I said easy to come up with something that works.

Or use TrackIR voor zooming and viewing around. Or use a HOTAS with many buttons and/or add a normal keyboard...
