hat switch not connected to POV
The hat switch (Logitech Extreme 3D joystick) is not connected to POV. Assigning it in Setup/Input/Assign Controls does not work. This happened maybe one or two updates ago. Any ideas?
Re: hat switch not connected to POV
Another report of the hatswitch not working for POV on an FF2 joystick. One of our TeamXC.us pilots is reporting this problem and looking for help. It tests fine in Win10, but will not work when he assigns the POV functions to it in Condor.
Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

I cant get the hatswitch on Thrustmaster Hotas X joystick to register, want to map it to the trim controls but no luck. Just mapped trim up and down to 2 of the joystick buttons for now, but interested if theres a workround?

Do the arrow keys work on you numeric keypad ?
Do you have Opentrack or Freetrack (TrackIR) installed ?

Uninstall opentrack...
Re: hat switch not connected to POV
Not an option, I use it for other stuff! Other flight sims like DCS, X-Plane, FS cope ok with more than one assignment for pov, if I dont have opentrack booted up in dcs, it automatically reverts to mouse or numpad. Even mouselook is not working in condor

Then use TrackIR.
Opentrack is your problem.

Re: hat switch not connected to POV
Opentrack is not the problem - it works fine on all other flightsims. Condor doesn't like it.
I cant justify £150 cost for trackIR system, I have a perfectly good home build setup that cost about £18 to put together and it works fine for condor and all the other flight sims. However, as said previously, tracking the pov with a secondary method is well supported in other flight sims if the head tracker is not being used.

Re: hat switch not connected to POV
As a last resort you can End Task Opentrack in Task Manager before you fly Condor.
Or you can use multiple partitions. One separate for Condor without Opentrack.

Opentrack is installed but its not running. Its going to stay installed. Why doesnt the hat switch work for POV even when opentrack is installed but not running? Is ther another asetting within Condor I need to disable?

Ask Opentrack...
Re: hat switch not connected to POV
I'll take a wild guess at this. They will say "Dont know, it works fine in all other flight sim games, why not ask the Condor dev team".
In fact both mouse view and hat switch work ok when in F2 view from outside, but not when sitting in the cockpit.
Thanks for your interest.

Condor is designed for TrackIR. It works
We have never claimed Opentrack compatability. If you can get it working, then great.

Hat switch to control Condor super flight computer.

Works like a charm...
