Graphics Settings Help

Post by cloudyifr » Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:23 pm

Hello,
I recently built a computer that runs Win11. It's a 13th Gen Intel Core i5=13600K 3.5GHz processor with 32Gig Ram.

I was running a MSI GeForce GTX1650 4G Ram video card and Condor 3 ran great!
I got the smart idea that perhaps I should upgrade the video card and purchased a EVGA GeForce RTX 3050 XC Gaming Card with 8 Gig of Ram.

Condor 3 now doesn't run as well as before. At times I'll get fps in the high 20's and it's quite noticeable. Other times it's in the triple digits.

I have an LG HDR WQHD wide display monitor. I'm running at 3340x1440 as before.

I attached some graphic card settings.

Would anyone have some suggestions as to what I could try?
I have tried V-Sync on/off, updating drivers, changing resolutions in Condor etc... but can't seem to find where the bottleneck is.

I can't imagine this graphics card would slower than before.

Thanks so much for the help.

If you have problems after switching graphics cards, try display driver uninstaller (DDU), then install the new driver for the other card. There can be leftovers from the old one.

When I've had problems with stability after a GPU change, it's always worked.

[edit: Also very useful when switching from Nvidia to AMD GPUs]

Dan,
Thanks so much! 170-320fps in the first run after reinstalling! That's what I'd expect.
So much for the 'clean install' tickbox Nvidia has.
