Setting up the joystick

Post by Franklin » Tue Sep 17, 2019 5:16 am

I am using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and it does not seem to function correctly. For example I can't pull the nose up. The glider tends to fly in a downward trajectory. Any suggestions?

Have you changed something in the scenery yourself?
If so, restore scenery to its original state.
If it is your own build scenery, export terrain and forest has.

In case that advice seems a bit out of place: Condor2 may think you're trying to cheat if you've modified certain landscape files and cause your glider to dive constantly.

I am new to this so I have not changed anything (landscape...). At least knowingly.

If this happens when soaring offline, then run the setup executable and update executable(s) again to repair damaged files.

Hi, this probably means that the 'terrain hash' or 'forest hash' need to be re-calculated. Open Landscape Editor. Open the landscape with the problem. Do File/Export terrain hash (THA), then do File/Export forest hash (FHA).
That has corrected the 'no elevator control' problem for me.

Good call Jim. Thanks for documenting this. I thought my joystick was broken!

Isn't the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro suppositely FFB but not recognized as such by Condor?
If so, turning off the FFB option might help
