Radio talk between double seaters

Post by n98Bk9-NT3 » Wed Jan 22, 2025 11:41 am

I am planning to prepare tasks for double seaters next month. Now, I have a question regarding radio talk between double seaters.

It is said that front seat and rear seat pilots can make conversations freely without PTT button as in real we do. But how about radio talk among gliders during a race.

Does PTT button work for it and each gliders can continue their private conversation?

How does it work for double seater race?

Regards,

Naoki

Yes you can talk with your co-pilot freely. Additionally you can use the PPT button to talk on the radio with everybody in the server.

So, each double seater has its own talks separately.
I just want to confirm that.

At least that's the way it should work,
... but yesterday on the Tchin-tchin flight two pilots in the same glider were not able to communicate through the Condor audio system, they had to use use TeamSpeak

Hi Naoki,

I am working on a tutorial for two-seater/multicrew flying for a future event.
Please have a look at V1.0 of the PDF below.

Hopefully it will help you for the time being.
We will add more stuff soon.

See you,
Antoine
