Marburg open task 7, flown in real life

Post by arneh » Sat Dec 14, 2024 12:57 am

I had the pleasure last summer of flying in real life almost exactly same task we had online tonight in Marburg open :-) Only taking off and landing at a different airfield a little farther west, but apart from that following the same route. Although weather was more unstable and unpredictable in real life :-)

So if anyone is interested to see how it looks in real life, have a look at the flight track and pictures in https://www.weglide.org/flight/452572

E.g. here I'm passing what was TP2 tonight:

Thats pretty awesome. Those rain showers in your pics even looked a lot like condor :D

Awesome pictures !

Biggest difference with Condor is that there are a lot of clouds on those pictures

It was quite exciting conditions. I knew from the forecast it was going to overdevelop during the day. It was just about trying to get as far as possible and hopefully get back again before that happened :-)
While I love the new weather options in Condor 3, this is still missing. When it's not a front that moves in with rain, but conditions that overdevelop everywhere over time because it's so unstable.
