When attempting to fly multiplayer, i get an error message saying that Condor cannot create the AddressBook.ini file due to it being open in another process. This happens regardless of the server. It happens when i host on same PC with dedicated server as well as when trying to connect to other servers. I can join the server and download the task, but as soon as i hit start flight i get the error.
I have rebooted pc etc, but no luck. I've also tried creating a new pilot but get same error. Interestingly, i found that if i exit the multiplayer tab after the error and start Free Flight, i am connected and can see the other pilots. However, my presence on the server prevents the task starting for all pilots.
The only thing i've found that works is if i host a flight from within Condor. I can then start the flight and all is well.
I have Condor XC version 3.0.0 running on windows 11

Condor can't access your MyDocuments folder because some app (OneDrive maybe) is blocking access.

The file is not in the OneDrive path, but it is in the Dropbox path. It is however not being blocked by dropbox. The file is being created and has today's date. I think the issue is that condor is accessing the file twice in rapid succession. You're either not closing it in the first thread before trying to access it in the second, or more likely, you are closing it, but not enough time elapses for dropbox to handle the file save and then release the file for you to access it the second time. I'm a software developer and have run into this issue in the past with OneDrive, though not usually a problem with Dropbox.
At any rate, i'm not sure what the work around is. I've checked the various setup ini files and can't find a way to specify another path for the file.

can you deactivate dropbox temporary while flying?

Yes, i tried that and it works. I think this confirms that the issue is with not having enough delay between one thread writing the file, and the next thread attempting to open it. There needs to be a small pause to allow OneDrive/Dropbox to sync the file to the cloud.
I think you'll find that it is very common to have the Documents folder embedded in the OneDrive or Dropbox path. This will likely be an issue for a lot of users.
