Host a private Server

Hello,

does somebody have a good tutorial on how to host a private server w/ friends. After many attempts my server is shown on the server-browser website, but my friends are unable to join the session. (long waiting time and following error-massage "unable to join session")

Maybe someone knows a solution to this Problem.

First ensure your firewall knows Condor is a safe piece of software.

I have the following ports forwarded:

56278 UDP
56400 UDP

Are you able to join your own server?

yes i have ensured that my firewall trusts condor and the mentioned ports are forwarded. I was able to join the server but my fried wasn´t...
The server was shown on the condor serverlist online, but when somebody wanted to join an error showed up with the message "host not found"

Hi,

Call your internet provider and ask them to open that same ports on the their system.

It is not enough to open in your router/modem if it is blocked in your provider.

If you are in the same Intranet (ex: in your home) of the server, you can acess the server Typing local IP in the multyplayer IP box.

Which IP your friends try to connect to?
Do you see the same address on www.whatsmyip.com?
