not recognised as having STARTed Race even though entered gate correctly and on time

hi, i often get no acknowledgement of an official START in races even having passed thru START gate correctly and on time.....what am i doing wrong?

Are you using a plane with an engine? Did you check if there is a maximum start height? Did you hear the 3 beeps indicating the start line is open?

hi, yes heard the three bleeps, not using plane with engine.
where do i find the correct start heights if specified?

On the flightplanner map or the PDA in the plane there is a little box on the center of the sector saying something like [0-20] which means 0 to 2000 meters (or feet depending on your settings).

Alternatively press the default "J" key (if turnpoint helpers are enabled in the notam tab). It will show you the startline when you fly close to it.
