One of the most exciting tasks in the Series ever, task E, is finished now. Very good to see how interesting a remote or offline competition can be. The task type looked very easy, only release and fly as far as you can in 1:45 h. But the strong and narrow thermals made maybe the difference. Who climbs best und uses the height most efficient?

At the beginning it looked like nobody can beat 81C, he was far away, but we all learned with this task and finally we have had very close results. Trying to beat the others in every flight, sometimes with success, sometimes not. Only to follow the result list every day was exciting and motivated to fly again and again.

5 pilots competed in task E.

81C won two categories and the task overall, got the most points for the championship, congratulations.
AVB won first time a category, very well done. Hope this is motivation for more.
P78 flew the first flight on VS, I waited for that more than a year ;-). Hope you liked it and you will try another task too.
VL showed good climb rates but struggled a little bit with getting a good result out of that. Maybe he is missing some tools. I made a tool for myself with a stop watch, count down watch and some helping living tables, that helps a lot. Unfortunately it isn't portable to others, so I have started to make a web based tool. There is a lot to learn for me, but I'm sure to get it run one day.

Thanks to all for your flights, discussions and following.

Here the results after task E, congratulations to all trying the Vintage Series.

All are welcome to the Vintage series, as we have seen in this task at the latest, it can be very exciting

Next multiplayer flight will be Thursday 20th July 18:30 UTC on Vintage Series server. Due to holidays one week earlier than usual.

We will fly again task F, but with better conditions. Because the conditions were too bad they were changed last week. Now we have a nice summer weather. 1400 m cloud base and nice thermals.

Start is at Harris Hill, if I understood right the US's Wasserkuppe, landscape FingerLakes. We use the BETA version 0.2, only available on www.baleit.no/condor.nsf.

All are welcome to try the Vintage Series.

Task G is started now. Because I'm in vacation, I can't change the weather conditions on the server. Task G will have the same conditions, but task type is "Out and return".

Task F will be finished tomorrow, my post about the results will follow later, when I'm back at home.

Task H is started now. We will have a task type "Return", weak and normal width thermals, high activity and a low cloud base at 1100 m but inversion height at 3300 m, so high clouds. Maybe an option to cloud flying?

A short test flight with a DG101 (not allowed in the series now, but next season) showed climb rates up to 2 m/s. BTW a very nice plane, was my first flight after purchase. Thanks to the creators of that plane.

The example flight plan starts in ColdLake, but as always you can fly where you want. That flight plan will run on the server from now on.

We expect minimum one flight to upload of task G, so task G will run a while, but latest until Monday.

Task G is finished now, here the overall results.

We have had 3 competitors this month and some nice flights. Maybe in the coming autumn we will get some competitors more, it's worth to try.

Thanks to all flying the Series and for the good discussions we have had in Discord.

Next multiplayer flight will be Thursday 28th of September. Start will be at 18:30 UTC on server Vintage Series.

We will fly an "return" from Seminole Lake, landscape Muscogee.

The weather is challenging, low cloud base, weak and normal width thermal. To slow done is maybe not the worst tip.

Task I is started now. We will have a "2 turn points", high cloud base (1800 m), moderate thermal strength with a high variation and normal width.

Some short test flights showed that these are nice conditions.

The example flight plan starts in Eagleville, landscape GTA, but as always you can fly where you want.

Task H will run until tomorrow, I will end it tomorrow round about 9:00 UTC

Task H is finished now, here the overall results.

We had 3 participants again this month and some difficult flights with enough off-field landings.

Thanks to all flying the Series and for the good discussions we have had in Discord. Welcome all to try the Series. There are 3 tasks to fly in 2023, before we start in February 2024 with a new season and some improved rules. More information about that later.

Task J is started now. We will have an "out and return" with a medium cloud base (1300 m) and (very?) good thermals, strong and wide with very high and high variation. These sound like good distances to fly, while outside IRL the first snow has arrived.

The example flight plan starts in Bisperode, landscape GermanyN. There is a long ridge to the west, more than 100 km long. Of course we have very less wind, but for orientation with VR and without a map it will help a lot. Of course as always you can fly where you want.

Task I will run until tomorrow, I will end it tomorrow round about 9:00 UTC.

Task I is finished now, here the overall results.

We had 4 participants this month and first time ever a multiplayer flight with all these 4. That was a very nice event, thanks to all making that possible. Unfortunately, due to the very different time zones we live in, this won't happen very often.

Thanks to all flying the Series and for the good discussions we have had in Discord.

Welcome all to try the Series.
