As I wrote, nothing beats a multiplayer flight with Grunau Babies. Thanks to all for participation, it was wonderful. Four pilots, nice weather but with long distances between the clouds, so some close-to-ground-activities for all, but all finishing. Very close result, all in all it couldn't be better.

Here a nice picture after arriving, some more pictures will follow tomorrow on the web side.

Task H is started now, task G will be finished first of September.

In OneDesign we will have a return task from Heber Valley on the landscape Utah, I hope for a nice task to explore the region.

All other categories will have a mountain task, as always in the mountains a 2 turn points. The example task will start at Lanzen-Turnau, the last airport Jochen von Kalckreuth used. But of course you can fly where you want.

Time limit for both tasks is 90 minutes.

On the servers will run task G until it's finished.

All are welcome to fly the Vintage Series 24

Task G is finished. It was a very nice task, for me very personal flying in very old memories due to the airport and the region.

Again we have had a lot of flights to get better results again and again. So we have had a lot of fun, a very nice multi player flight with four Babies (81C, VL and a special thanks to NPX flying with us that evening) and finally an exceptional Baby flight of 81C, beating by points all flights in all categories except his own ASW 20 flight. Of course we use handicap, but usually the newer and better planes get more points nevertheless. An amazing flight confirming that in my opinion the Baby is still the best plane in Condor!

Thanks to all flying with us!

Here the overall standings so far:

Next multi player task will be Thursday 19th of September, 18:30 UTC on Server VintageSeries24. Landscape is AlpsE, we will start from Lanzen Turnau. Task type is "2 turn points" (as always in the mountains), time limit 90 minutes. The "main group" will fly the lovely Libelle, but all are of course free in the choice of the plane.

The suggested flight plan is a 180 km triangle to the East. I tried two flights in other directions, but they doesn't look very good, so the suggestion will be a track I didn't flew before by myself, but Brad did with a great result.

Reminder to tonight's multi player flight. 18:30 UTC on server VintageSeries24, landscape AlpsE from Lanzen Turnau, as I know the last home airport of Jochen von Kalckreuth. We will use the Libelle, the only Glasflügel plane of Condor until now (I remember a discussion about the Kestrel in C3).

We will fly the same way he did in his time, that means without pda.

Radio via TeamSpeak3 -> https://www.baleit.no/forum.nsf/646e9b2 ... enDocument

Brad recently did a very good test flight with the Libelle on the proposed route, so 165 km in 90 minutes is to be beaten ;-)

All are welcome! Of course you can use any plane if you wish ...

Task I is started now, task H will be finished first of October.

In OneDesign we have a target task on landscape GTA , starting from Eagleville with the finish in Marion. Time limit is set to 60 minutes, but if someone is faster, we will reduce the time limit and recalculate all flights. The distance is 116 km with a tail wind of 9 km/h, so I can't believe someone is that fast, but we will see ;-)
We have a higher cloud base (1900 m) and moderate and normal width thermals. I hope for a relaxed flight.

All other categories will have a blue task, task type is "out and return". Cloud base is 1900 m, but inversion height is only a little bit higher than 1100 m, so no chance for any cloud. Thermals are moderate too, but width is very wide. The example task will start at Wroclaw on landscape NWPoland. Time limit is 90 minutes.
If you want to fly that example task, you need the new version 1.1 of NWPoland. I added two airports, Wroclaw and Malbork, you get the landscape on www.baleit.no.
Of course you can fly where you want.

On the servers will run task H until it's finished.

Task H is finished. It was a very challenging task with a lot of outlandings, sorry for the weather settings ;-)

Thanks and congratulations to all flying with us!

Here the announcement for the next multi player flight, this time at a very special place and with a very special rule:

Using Condor 2 we start on Server Vintage Series 24, landscape is NWPoland, version 1.1, starting from Wroclaw. Task type is "out and return", time: 17th of October, 18:30 UTC. Radio via TeamSpeak3. Rules as usual, fly what plane you like and wherever you want. Points for the series as usual. You will find all rules and information on the webside https://www.baleit.no including a forum where you can discuss with us.

And here the special rule: If you fly a Standard Cirrus (without ballast as always), fly during your flight over or close to Jezow Sudecki (=> when it was Germany the name was "Grunau", it's the place of birth of the Grunau Baby) and you get the most points in this multi player flight (not in a flight before or later) (EDIT: the most points of the Cirrus pilots flying over Jezow Sudecki), you will win a Condor 3 Pro from our sponsor BaleIT AS. We don't fly Condor tasks, so there will be no signal if you reach Jezow Sudecki, only fly like IRL in old times. Checking if you was close enough to Jezo Sudecki will happen manual (like in old times too ;-)), a distance of 1 - 2 km will be good enough.

BTW: This task has a little disadvantage. Due to the weather settings (blue task with low inversion height) you will get nearly every 5 - 10 minutes a waiting time of ca. 45 seconds. Only wait, the program will not crash, it only calculates the thermals for the next way to fly. The waiting time is not calculated in your flight time, you get only seconds for the time you are able to act in the sim.

Interested? Then you are very welcome. Be sure you understood the rules, it's easier to ask before than during the flight. Hope to see a lot of "new" pilots and of course the "usual" participants.

There is no need for a registration, but it would be nice if the new ones can send there interest with a short p.m. or a reply here, so that I maybe allow more participants on the server, if there are more than I expect ;-)

Summary: No ballast, no pda, no turn point helpers, no clouds, no Condor task, no plane recovery (only on midair), no thermal helpers. Only fun and, a little bit unrealistic, 5 km plane icon distance ...

My strangest multi player flight ever. I didn't knew that the waiting time during the flight because of the weather conditions leads to a disconnection of the pilots. We started together and after 5 minutes we flew offline, everybody for himself. We used radio, but didn't flew int the same "air".

As I said, strange. But nevertheless thanks to all trying to fly that flight together.

Next month's multi player will be back in the Alps, without the disturbing behavior we have had today.

Task J is started now, task I will be finished first of November.

In OneDesign we have a task "Out". Start is in San Joaquin on landscape Vegas

All other categories will have a mountain task again, the example task is starting in Unterwoessen on landscape Alps.

Both Condor 3 and Condor 2 can be used. The servers will still run Condor 2.

Task type is "2 turn points" with a higher Cloud Base, thermal strength is strong but thermal width is narrow.
Of course you can fly where you want.

On the servers will run task I until it's finished.

Here the announcement for the next multi player flight. We will fly Thursday 21. November 19:30 UTC (summertime in Europe is over) on server VintageSeries24 (Condor 2!). Landscape is "Alps", start airport "Unterwoessen" and task type is "2 turn points".

As always you can fly a plane of your choice, the main group decided to fly Ka6CR that evening.

I will send the flight plan suggestion later. My only flight so far was an outlanding, conditions are not too easy, ridges didn't worked very good and clouds weren't there where I could reach them. So I hope for a better flight next week and a good idea for the flight plan suggestion.

All are welcome to try the Vintage Series 24. If you want to join this multi player flight, you have to use Condor 2, but to take part offline can happen in both Condor 2 and 3 and wherever you like.
