Need IPv6 support on Condor 3

Post by bobmorane » Sun Dec 19, 2021 7:17 pm

Hi Condor Dev team, FYI due to the scarcity of IPv4 addresses, in France (elsewhere too I assume) more and more ISPs are switching users to IPv6 + IPv4 CGNAT (Carrier Grade NAT) and hence disabling DMZ and port forwarding, making hosting of multiplayer impossible.

Will Condor 3 support IPv6? If not I strongly recommend you add support as more and more users will be faced with the same issue as me and not be able to host servers. Of course ISPs also need to all support IPv6...

Same here in Germany.
More and More ISP's only provide DS-Lite.
IPv4 adresses are not accessible from outside the ISP's network.
I also really looking forward to get IPv6 support for Condor 3
and, if possible, also with an update for Condor 2.
I had the plan to host a server for our aeroclub in the holidays.
But this is not possible due to the lack of IPv6 support of Condor 2.

Merry Christmas
