Post by Pit_R » Mon Feb 15, 2021 4:57 pm

Hello all!
We'd like to announce our next Thursday's events...
More or less realistic contest again in 20 m Multi Seat class...
Something for fans of slower, lowland flying. :)

NLCC :: 20 m Multi Seat
(March 11th - April 29th, 2021)

Tasks are inspired by RL contests which took place in Netherlands.
There are many but short comps in NL (week, only weekend).
It is used 4 airfields (in brackets the number of planned tasks):
Venlo (2), Malden (3), Soesterberg (2) and Salland (1).

Few words from F9 - our tasksetter and weatherman:

In this competition you can expect average speeds from 90 to 130 km/h.
Climbrates are about between 1.5 to 2.5 m/s, cloudbases will be between 1250 and 1600 m.

The tasks are from following competions:
T1: Salland, https://www.soaringspot.com/en_gb/salla ... agse-2017/
T2, D1, D2: Malden, https://www.soaringspot.com/en_gb/zomer ... vlak-2018/
D3, D4: Soesterberg-Amstelglide, https://www.soaringspot.com/en_gb/amste ... g-ab-2019/
D5, D6: DuoGlide_Venlo, https://www.soaringspot.com/en_gb/duogl ... enlo-2019/

You can test the new Arcus against DuoDiscus. Glider change within this contest is allowed.
I hope, all participants will enjoy this event.
Good luck for all.

FYI:
T1 Salland 2017 06 18
T2 Malden 2018 07 15

Shame there isn't a ASK13 in Condor 2. I almost won that one in a ASK13 against Duo's and DG1001's

Stephen on highest podium (we saw him there many times, so no surprise) :) CGR!
2nd was Jarek, me 3rd. Looks like this battle Arcus vs Duo won Duo. We'll see next time: T2 Malden, 2018/07/15.

Results of practice day at condor.club: https://www.condor-club.eu/comp/showtask/208/?id=17679

mCR: average climbrate in m/s for the task | mGN: mean gliding number (gliding number without influence of wind)
mIAS: mean indicated airspeed (the speed you see on your speedometer, the real speed is higher depending on the altitude) | nLift: number of lifts
DeltaGN: additional gliding number (difference between mGN and GN of speed polar) | Vmet: average of rising and sinking air

If someone would like to have all ftrs to refly with ghosts or igcs for deeper analyse etc. Drop me a msg.

Hello!

In att. converted with Marc Till's (MPT) CoTaCo https://condorutill.fr/ XCSoar tsk for our 105 minutes AAT.

Good luck today on Day 3, we'll fly as always +- 1 h 45 min. ;)

PS
We will fly AAT/S task, if you're not familiar with this kind of task please read/view some (short) articles/videos here: https://is.gd/XzvsNj

PS2
Pilots with negative values of DeltaGN and Vmet please consider to turn on 'Vertical sync' in C2 Setup/graphics page.
Who knows - maybe it can help to solve this problem, so worth to give it a try. Of course smooth flying is also needed. ;)

Thanks, PIT! It's so much easier to fly without that sink bug! Are developers aware of this issue?

Hello!

Congrats to the winners of 3rd (AAT) day! Was little windy but good weather. Too good maybe, for some. ;)
Many with 900+ pts! Uncommon view. Well done gents! :)

This time Robin (RAM) on highest podium CGR! With small advantage but nice route - you can see top3 flights below. :)
2nd was Andrii (AL1) [yup - I suppose devs know about sinkbug]. Tom (TBC) was 3rd.
Looks like this time Arcus was not the best choice.

Hello!

Congrats to the winners and all participants of 4th day! Wasn't easy indeed.
This time Tom (TBC) was fastest CGR! 2nd was me (PIT) and Jiri (N31) was 3rd - we both was starting very late coz lack of altitude for 1400 start. :) TBH I was expecting Arcuses on top3 yesterday but maybe are undermodeled a little or so (but I am not an expert of course).
