Dedicated server questions
Re: Dedicated server questions
Question 1: depends on how many people join your server. Our server was doing fine with nice low pings and smooth operation. But due to the Corona thing more and more people started to join. And at a certain point the pings shot up and people were unable to enter the game being stuck in the loading bar. I'd have to check what we are running but it happened around 55 to 60 people. We limited the primary server now to 45 and it runs very smoothly and got a backup server.
For question 2: use the condor updater from condor-club.eu. You can tick the box server install in the settings and it will install all the nessesary files

Re: Dedicated server questions
My server is:
Dual core @ 2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM
Windows Server 2012
And a 40 GB HDD
It is fine for up to approximately 50 ~ 55 people depending on how many connect and disconnect at the same time. So anything better than that is oke for a single instance of DS and the full 64 people. I'm not sure if it is the processor of the RAM that was the issue.
