Setting up a dedicated server

Post by Witloofboer » Tue Apr 07, 2020 10:46 am

Hello everyone!

Is there a quick start guide for setting up a dedicated Condor 2 server? Does it need a separate license?

No, just start DedicatedServer.exe. Load a flightplan by rightclicking the flightplan list. And set up your server details under Edit - server options. Then hit Start and it runs.

Type in .start in the chat to start the towing procedure. Rest of the commands are in the manual

That's what I tried so far. Is the weather linked to the flightplan?

The manual on Condor 2's website is offline...

Yes.

Are you sure ?
The URL has changed, meaning that old links maybe dead, but the manual is still accessible from the Support tab in the menu bar on the condorsoaring.com page

The link on the support page must be updated. The link in the nenu is correct.

Found it, thanks! The link is broken when you click on 'support' and then go to the manual page. When you use the dropdown menu, it works like a charm!

My dedicated server version 2.1.1 is up running, but it is not visual in the server list, http://www.condorsoaring.com/serverlist/.
My firewall is open to all condor configurations.

Does anyone know the reason for this?

Port forwarding in the router? Also the serverlist takes up to 2 minutes to update

It has been working before without issues.
I noticed after one hour, the server was showing on the server list. But now it has disappeared.
I have also experianced Condor Denmark also have issues with the servers not showing in the list.

I do not have access to the modem/router (locked by supplier). But I will contact the internet supplier to help me open the port 56278.
Thanks.
