And which channel to select? In multiplayer someone types message directed at me and I cannot acknowledge them...

There are channels based on language and often channels based on the task/contest. Obviously it depends on the other people flying the task also joining the ts server. There is no inbuild voice comms in condor.
If you just want the option to type a few things in like 'Hello, CG, thanks, bye' Ive had some success with voice attack. Just program some simple voice phrases and use the key recorder to record the key presses to type the msg. Remember to start with backspace and end with enter, I've also found it necessary to tell voice attack to send its output to condor 2.0.6 (you should be able to see this in the drop down). With this I can say hello and condor sends a msg Hi Everyone, congrats sends 'cg', etc. I also use voice attack with phrases like p d a 1, p d a 2, etc to switch between pda screens (send 1 or 2 or 3 without the backspace/return).

FWIW, virtualsoaring guys where kind enough to create a channel for the BF servers. I set up it up so that there is a subchannel for each of the BF servers and events. If ever it gets too busy or if you want to talk in a different language or with some friends only, everyone can create temporary subchannels, so feel free.
